The International Exhibition NAVITECH-EXPO’2010
Navigation Systems, Technologies and Services - the International Congress and Exhibition Project taken place on June 1-3, 2010 became a major event in creation and application of navigation technologies in Russia. The Project embraced two events: the 4th International Satellite Navigation Forum and the 2nd International Exhibition Navitech-Expo’2010.
The Show was arranged by Expocentre and the ‘Professional Conferences’ company with the support from Navigation-Information Systems, Association ‘GLONASS/GNSS-Forum’, the ‘ITS-Russia’ Nonprofit Partnership.
The Forum and the Exhibition dedicated to the satellite navigation evolved from a strictly specialized event to a popular one, and became a place of meeting for statesmen, manufacturers and developers of the navigation equipment, businessmen and end users.
Every year the Exhibition attracts more and more participants offering their products and services in the field of the satellite navigation.
48 companies from 5 countries such as Belarus, China, Czechia, Russia and the USA took part in the exhibition.
The IV International Satellite Navigation Forum organized by Association ‘GLONASS/GNSS – Forum’ and the Congress and Exhibition Company ‘Professional Conferences’ became a key event of the year for specialists in the commercial use of satellite navigation technologies.
This year 98 lecturers and 60 mass media representatives participated in the Forum; about 1000 Russian and foreign delegates were registered. Every sixth participant represented the European Community.
United Nations International Committee on Global Navigation Satellite Systems and the GPS System Operator sent their delegates. Official delegations of the space agencies from Ukraine and Kazakhstan became participants of the Forum for the first time.
The Forum embraced the round table ‘GLONASS ERA Project. Normative-Legal and Technical-Organizational Support’, as well as 7 section sessions dedicated to different aspects relating to the application of satellite navigation technologies, the latest navigation equipment and services. Issues pertinent to the state and prospects for development of the American and European satellite navigation systems, modern world achievements in the satellite navigation were discussed during the plenary session.
